Oh Rob your meadow is positively singing out with joy - absolutely beautiful. We got back home from our holiday in France on Thursday hoping to cool down but it's hot here too! The nearest we got to your neck of the woods was probably Brantome. Missing French supermarkets and quiet country roads already :)
PS Forgot to mention that we encountered some huge stag beetles in the garden of the cottage where we stayed. Our hosts told us that they are most partial to pelargoniums so much so that some of their neighbours have given up growing them.
I can almost smell the sweet warm scent of summer in your photos. I can not wait to get back there once again
ReplyDeleteThanks Maryanne. Summer is sweet and warm finally - the unusually cool, wet spring seems a distant memory thankfully.
DeleteI'm so delighted with such bursts of nature!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rosaria.
DeleteThey literally fill me with sunlight and a sense of (your) place.
ReplyDeletePlenty of sunlight at the moment, could do with a drop of rain, a thundery downpour or something like that to just keep things ticking over.
DeleteI can feel the sunny warmth when looking at your photos. Magical!
ReplyDeleteThanks Phillip. We have a milky sky and high humidity at the moment. I think that gives the light 'warmth'
DeleteThat's one of the most beautiful meadows I've ever seen. I love the red and white flowers mixed together. Happy Summer.

Thanks David. The meadow will change coulour to yellow and gold over the coming weeks.

ReplyDeleteThanks Anna. We could do with a drop of rain as it's so dry at the moment.
DeleteBrantome is an hour and a half away from here - they call it the Venice of the Perigord.
