Eremurus



Eremurus and alliums - perfect.

These foxtail lillies are e. himalaicus, and they shine like candles in the spring sunshine.



 I have five, but back in early April, a caterpillar chewed away two of the emerging blooms. Bloody caterpiller, left me with three. Anyway, I need more, so come the Autumn I'll pick up another five or six bulbs.

      Thanks Wilma. Early May sunshine doesn't 'washout' the colour like the sun in high summer.

      I picked off each caterpillar by hand and dealt with them. They'd chewed right through the stems of a couple.

    where can you buy eremurus in south France biarritz area ? or is there a good mail order company that sells big fat ones!
