Make Time For Wine (Again)

We took off in the car and headed to wine country last Tuesday. Only an hour away and you're amongst the appellations of Bergerac, Pécharmant, Montravel and many more.  Grabbed these photos of cave, Julien de Savignac just outside Bergerac within the Monbazillac region.

This is a beautiful place to buy wine!

This is the good stuff.

Drink it in the garden.

  1. Did spend some time in the area and enjoyed the local wines. Still buy some Monbazillac stickies here in Australia since our visit. Would love to return one day.
We are back in the Loire in later this year so maybe we will revisit the area again. You live in a nice location.

  2. Mmmmmmm I'm sure making time for wine involves some noble sacrifice on your part Rob :) We got relatively near to Bergerac last summer - well as far south as Brantôme but unfortunately we were not in wine purchase mode at the time.

    1. Anna you HAVE to leave a little room in the camper van pour le vin. Brantome is beautiful.

  3. It's all looking wonderful chez toi Rob and I'm envying the wine tour. We've had several tours, but they were when the girls were little and one of us had to drive post-degustation! We need to come back and have one of them do the driving this time! ;-)

    1. Hi Liz

You can drive through vineyard after vineyard from Bergerac to Bordeaux practically uninterrupted - but yeah, you need someone else do the driving. Payback time?
