Saturday evenings annual gala dinner, organised by the Les Eyzies hunt, inevitably offers rich pickings when it comes to the end of evening (actually early hours morning) raffle.
We've been pretty lucky with our numbers in recent years. Last year we won a fine bottle of red Bordeaux plus various preserves and game saucisson. This year a good sized, category one black truffle!
So tomorrow night i'm in the kitchen. Pasta, butter, pepper, parmasan and truffle. Et Voila, just four ingredients to get to truffly heaven.
